The Grand Tetons. . . grand indeed

Yes, yes, I know.  It’s about flipping time.  My mom has been waiting for this post, but has since seen pictures from my camera last time I was home.  Hopefully this will do the pictures more justice than my tiny camera screen.

Our first activity upon arriving at the Grand Tetons National Park was taking a float on the Snake River.  We went with Barker-Ewing, which I found on trip advisor.  Loved, loved, loved this trip, and really liked our guide.  He was brilliant. . . but also, so fun.  I still laugh at some of his commentary.  🙂  Anyone who goes to this area should ride on one of these rafts.  Such a easy and beautiful way to see the mountains and animals.

Never promising to start a trip at a place with "Deadman" in the title. . . but there were no near death experiences. 🙂

We loved our guide!

First amazing view. . .

I liked having the paddle in some of my shots. , , but some were probably less artistic and more bad timing!

Liz is looking off into the distance. . . Such a dreamer. 🙂

The water is normally a lot more clear. . . but there had been a ton of run off as of late. . .

It took a lot of pictures to get the few pictures of us that looked halfway decent. . . hey, it was windy! Also, my eyes are always squinty. Always.

Rain moved in. . .

So long, Snake River!

To be continued.  🙂

  1. That’s an awesome picture of you with the Tetons in the background. What a great photographer! It was probably the other lady on our end of the boat that took that one! 🙂 So glad you are back to blogging!
